Trail analytics: sensors + app, from $69

ShokIMU is a complete, cost-effective kit—wireless motion modules you mount on the bike, plus a mobile app that turns every run into roughness scores, vibration bands, jump cues, and ride events. Now with estimated suspension velocity and travel from fork and frame sensors. No dyno. No $600 stroke logger. Just ride, review on your phone, and tune with evidence.

BLE motion sensors Trail mount kit iOS & Android app

The iOS app is available now on the App Store. Full recording and analytics need at least one paired sensor—ShokIMU kits or compatible Witmotion BLE IMUs (WT901 / WT9011DCL family). Use 1, 2, or 3 sensors; each one you add unlocks more of the analysis. Everything works offline.

One product: hardware you mount, software you already carry

ShokIMU is not app-only and not a lab instrument—it is a rider kit designed for real MTB sessions. Victorise handles the sensor pairing, logging, and analytics pipeline so you focus on the trail.

Motion sensor modules

Compact wireless IMU nodes with trail mounts. Assign each unit to frame, fork, rear, or custom roles in the app—start with one for core trail feel, or scale toward five simultaneous connections as you add modules beyond the launch kits.

ShokIMU mobile app

Pair over Bluetooth, record GPS-aligned runs, and review charts, maps, roughness, frequency bands, and events on iOS or Android. The iOS app is on the App Store and included with every kit.

Cost-effective by design

Stroke-based systems run hundreds of dollars. ShokIMU targets ~$69 entry for a single-sensor kit—enough to log meaningful trail data—scaling to multi-sensor bundles still well under premium logger pricing.

Pick your sensor count

Launch kits include 1–3 sensors, mounts, charging, and full app access. Need more mounting points later? The app is built for up to five BLE modules—add sensors when you want deeper comparison, not when you just want to start logging.

What the app does with your data

Hardware gets you on the trail. Software turns the session into decisions—same Victorise philosophy as ShokIQ, adapted for IMU mounting points.

Role-based sensor setup

Pair 1, 2, or 3 Witmotion BLE sensors and tap them onto a bike diagram: fork lower leg, fork crown / front frame, rear axle / swingarm, or main frame. Swap roles, shake a sensor to identify it, and the app remembers your setup. The summary shows what each sensor count unlocks.

GPS-aligned runs

Location captured alongside IMU frames so you can relate dynamics to line choice and trail sections on a map after the ride.

Ride dynamics analysis

Impacts, chatter, jump airtime, landing harshness, braking candidates, and sensor isolation—tuned for MTB. Jump and airtime detection now uses a free-fall reference for more reliable results.

Trail roughness score

Calibrated roughness from your assigned sensors—a ride-level feel for chatter-heavy sections you may want to soften or stiffen.

MTB vibration histograms

Energy across MTB-specific frequency bands—body, chassis, wheel/suspension—so you see where the bike is busy in the spectrum.

Event catalog & timeline

Jumps, landings, braking, rough segments, and more—with counts, time on trail, and share of the session.

New

Estimated suspension

Front travel and shaft velocity from fork lower vs crown; rear travel from swingarm vs frame angle using wheel travel, shock stroke, and leverage ratio (optional progression). The Suspension tab shows slow/fast compression and rebound velocity histograms, travel distribution, and bottom-out events—all labelled estimated.

New

Pre-ride health check

Before you drop in, see each sensor's real sample rate, dropped samples, timing jitter, and battery as green / amber / red. Choose 50, 100, or 200 Hz.

New

Calibration & sag zero

Hold the bike still to calibrate, then set sag / zero with you on the bike so travel estimates start from your real riding position.

Offline first, AI optional

Recording and analysis run fully on the phone with no connection. Long rides stay stable with data streamed to disk. Optional AI run-compare insights need an internet connection and sign-in.

App features reflect the current iOS App Store release. Metrics, thresholds, and UI will continue to evolve.

How it works

Mount sensors once. Ride like normal. Review on the phone.

  1. 1

    Unbox & mount

Charge modules, attach to fork, frame, or rear with the included mounts, then pair and tap each sensor onto its role on the bike diagram.

  2. 2

    Record a real run

Calibrate, run the pre-ride check, then start logging. GPS and IMU frames stay aligned—including background capture while recording.

  3. 3

    Review & tune

Open the run for estimated suspension, maps, roughness, frequency bands, and events—then adjust setup for the next lap. See the full tutorial.

Tutorial

From box to first ride: step by step

Ten minutes of setup the first time, under a minute after that—the app remembers your sensors, roles, and bike numbers.

Bike diagram with the four sensor positions: fork lower leg, fork crown or front frame, main frame, and rear axle or swingarm 1 2 3 4
1 Fork lower leg 2 Fork crown / front frame 3 Rear axle / swingarm 4 Main frame
  1. 1

    Mount the sensors

Charge each sensor, then mount it rigidly—any wobble shows up as fake vibration.

    • Fork lower leg: on the lower leg (below the seal), away from the brake caliper. Pairs with the crown sensor for front velocity and travel.
    • Fork crown / front frame: on the crown, steerer area, or head tube—the sprung side of the fork.
    • Rear axle / swingarm: flat on the swingarm or seat stay, as close to the axle as practical.
    • Main frame: flat on the down tube or top tube—the reference for rear angle and ride feel.

Tip: mount sensors flat and aligned with the frame tube, with cables and straps tidy. Keep the same orientation each ride so runs compare cleanly.

  2. 2

    Pair and assign roles

Turn sensors on, open the app, and pair over Bluetooth. Tap each sensor onto its spot on the bike diagram. Not sure which is which? Shake one to identify it, or swap two roles with a tap. The setup summary shows what your sensor count unlocks:

    • 1 sensor: ride dynamics, roughness, jumps and events, GPS map.
    • 2 sensors: fork lower + crown adds estimated front velocity and travel; frame + swingarm adds estimated rear travel.
    • 3 sensors: front and rear estimates together, plus richer balance comparisons.
  3. 3

    Bike & suspension setup

Enter your fork travel and rear wheel travel, shock stroke, leverage ratio (optional progression), and pivot-to-axle length. If rear travel reads backwards on a test compression, toggle invert rear direction. These numbers turn angles into estimated travel.

  4. 4

    Calibrate

Hold the bike still while the app calibrates. Then get on the bike in your riding position and set sag / zero so travel estimates start from where you actually ride.

  5. 5

    Pre-ride check

Pick 50, 100, or 200 Hz and run the health check. Each sensor shows its real sample rate, dropped samples, jitter, and battery as green amber red. Fix reds (re-seat, recharge, move the phone closer) before you roll.

  6. 6

    Record a ride

Start recording and ride normally—phone in a pocket or pack. No signal needed: recording and analysis work fully offline, and long rides are streamed to disk. Stop when you're done.

  7. 7

    Read the results

Open the run. The Suspension tab shows estimated velocity histograms (slow/fast compression and rebound), travel distribution, and bottom-out events. Check jumps and airtime, roughness by section, and compare runs after a setup change. Velocity is the most reliable signal; read travel as approximate. Optional AI compare insights need a connection and sign-in.
